Accessibility in Milnathort: A Commitment to Inclusive Community
Milnathort, a charming village nestled in the heart of Scotland, is renowned for its rich history and welcoming atmosphere. As a community that values inclusivity, considerable efforts have been made to improve disabled access throughout the village, ensuring that all residents and visitors can enjoy its amenities and natural beauty without barriers.
Today is International Day of Persons with a Disability
In partnership with Perth & Kinross Council, Centre for Inclusive Living Perth & Kinross along with 2 of its members are today conducting an access audit in the village which has a population of around 2,000 people.
We will be checking signage, dropped kerbs, pavement widths and conditions along with any other obstacles that can and should be improved with help from Perth and Kinross Council.
We will conduct a report and there will be more information to follow along with photos… another day!
